Lose Weight Tips Without Dieting
I developed these lose weight tips because I believe that
we can lose weight without dieting. We can eat out, live life and
participate in any event without worrying about what we should and
shouldn't eat, examining calories or fat. If we follow what our bodies really need, we will lose wieght anyway.
Here are my best lose weight tips:
- Learn to listen to your body. Eat when you are physically
hungry.
- Only eat food you really love. Don't compromise.
- Eat mindfully. Use all your senses to enjoy your food. Sight, touch, taste, smell. Make it an experience.
- Sit down to eat. Preferably, set the table and make it a special meal every time you eat.
- Start with a small serve. You can always go back for more
if you are still hungry.
- Spend some time focussing on your food and eating. Slow it down and enjoy.
More Lose Weight Tips for Eating Out
Eating out can prove to be a difficult time when there is so
much on offer. I believe that you don't need to count calories, deprive
yourself or restrict in any other way. This will just lead to making up
for it at a later date!
Eat Out and Enjoy the Experience
The best way to handle eating out is to eat food you love.
Really think about what tastes good to you and what gives you quality
vs quantity. When you choose from the menu, if there is nothing that
appeals to you, ask the chef to make up a special dinner for you. I
have done this often, especially if I am eating at a bistro
where a lot of the food is fried and greasy.
I ask for a salad with my favourite seafood, cooked the way I
like it. I also like slices of lemon with it, so I always ask for that.
Restaurants and cafes are usually happy to accommodate your choices.
And if they aren't, don't take your business there again!
My top lose weight tips for eating out:
- Choose a restaurant or cafe that cooks food from scratch
rather than food being reheated or pre-made.
- Look for quality signs such as individualised menu options,
sitting at a prepared table and food that needs to be eaten with
cutlery.
- Very rarely would anyone be hungry enough to eat full size
meals that are served in three courses (entree, main, dessert) so
consider how
much food you really
need before ordering.
- Scan the menu completely, before making your final
decision. Tune in with yourself to see if this is the food you really
want. I you love the food, you will feel satisfied.
- Share an entree or skip altogether and enjoy the company if
you think you will be too full for mains.
- Be prepared to ask for changes if there is something you
don't like.
- Eat mindfully. Eating out is about enjoying the food so take your time,
look, smell and taste your food. Use as many senses as possible to
enjoy your experience.
- And enjoy the company too.
Spend some time engaging in conversation without eating at the same
time. Give yourself time to enjoy the conversation.
- Continue to tune in with yourself thoroughout the meal and
ask yourself "Am I satisfied?"
- Are you still hungry for dessert? If not, then ask if you
can take it with you. If you are, how about sharing it with someone, as
most likely you won't need to eat all of it.
You don't need to punish yourself for eating out and enjoying
yourself. Life is all about enjoying yourself! use these lose weight
tips to
understand your behaviour better and tune in to when, where and why you
are eating insteading of restricting yourself and feel guilty the next
day. Enjoy!
